1989: The first wind computer

In 1989 Ammonit has been founded in Berlin Kreuzberg - just a couple of days before the Berlin wall came down.

In 1989 Ammonit developed the first wind computer, designed to record measurement data for wind energy applications.

Right from the beginning Ammonit closely cooperates with well-known research institutes, e.g., Frauenhofer IWES, DEWI, Deutsche Windguard and Cube.

Wide-ranging product portfolio

Data loggers have always been Ammonit's core product. Meanwhile data logger series Meteo-40 plus is on the market.

In 2010, Ammonit developed the online platform AmmonitOR. AmmonitOR supports data logger users by monitoring and managing their measurement campaigns online.

Cooperation and collaboration

Since many years Ammonit successfully cooperates with well-known manufacturers, e.g., Thies Clima, EKO, AQSystem.

Ammonit's customers benefit from the regional know-how of our partner. The global partner network with footsteps in more than 100 countries stands for fast and professional on-site service including consulting, setup of the measurement system and energy yield forecasting as well as maintenance.
